Please review the following information. You must agree to the guidelines below in order to schedule a library instruction class.

  1. Library instruction sessions are scheduled for classes with the instructor present and participating. Students are motivated when the instructor is there, especially if he/she contributes by adding comments and answering questions about the assignment.
  2. Library instruction is most effective when it is aligned with a class assignment. It is recommended that you schedule a library session for a date about 2-4 weeks before the research paper/project is due.
  3. Class requests that are submitted with at least one week's advance notice will be given priority. In the event that a session is unable to be scheduled due to time, space, and/or staffing constraints, we will do our best to work with you to find an alternate day and time for the library instruction session.
  4. General library instruction is not scheduled for the first week of the semester.
